Our purpose
Clean water connects us.
Healthy rivers, lakes and oceans support wildlife, livelihoods and the communities that live beside them. When water is polluted, the effects travel: downstream, along the coast and into daily life.
Flow for Tomorrow is a clean-water conservation initiative. We aim to support locally grounded conservation, especially where resources are limited, and to contribute toward clean-water access for communities that need it.

Rivers program
Rivers gather everything that happens on the land around them. We want to help communities understand and care for their rivers, from headwaters to mouth.

Lakes & Wetlands program
Lakes and wetlands hold water, wildlife and livelihoods in place, and they respond slowly to what flows in. Careful monitoring and stewardship matter most here.

Coasts receive what rivers carry and what ocean currents bring. Understanding both is the first step toward cleaner shores.

Four regions where we want to learn first.
These are proposed focus regions. Each one begins with research, listening and the expertise of people who already know these waters.
- South AsiaA river that runs through one of the world's largest cities, and the people working to protect it.
- East and Southern AfricaCity rivers, a great lake and a rich island coast, from the Indian Ocean to the African highlands.
- West AfricaRivers that cross fast-growing cities on their way to the Gulf of Guinea.
- Atlantic IslandsVolcanic islands in the open Atlantic, where ocean-borne litter reaches even uninhabited shores.

Start with needs assessment: what water and sanitation challenges exist, who is already working on them and what evidence is available.

Local expertise leads. We offer skills and support to local organizations, researchers and communities, and we follow their direction.

Where invited, offer practical help such as monitoring tools, surveys, equipment and organization.

Report openly on what we do and what we learn, including what does not work.
